  • Who am I?

Hello! My name is Aubrey and I have been head over heels for technology for as long as I can remember.

I have a strong background in backend development and systems engineering.

My favorite Cloud Provider is AWS, and my favorite relational database is MySQL.

When I’m not on the job, I enjoy doing personal projects with Agricultural robotics, Cloud computing labs, and Volunteering at the Stoughton Fire Department.

What sets me apart?

I am a programmer with a good grasp of the OSI Reference Model. I work well with others, those with weaker and stronger skills relative to my own. I take pull requests seriously, push my changes often, and apply constructive criticism from others to my work. Additionally I’m always learning, new technology is not just something I’m interested in professionally, but personally. Whenever some new tech comes out, be it something flashy like the latest services in cloud computing that can access data multiple magnitudes faster than ever before, or something relatively mundane like a new system in the DevOps space. I’m always ready find out how it can assist me not only professionally, but in my personal pursuits as well.

My technical skills are only half the story, being a good team player in my opinion, is what really makes someone valuable when working on complex projects with many moving parts. I really try and open myself up to my coworkers and teammates, being amiable and courteous are two things I always strive to achieve when I’m working with someone who has to trust me to do good work, but also to be approachable when someone needs help, and humble when my way of doing things just isn’t the best.
